Time and Location: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Room 133 (SS/CLC Hallway)

Our class name came from the verse in John 8:31, NLT: "Jesus said to the people who believed in him, 'You are truly my DISciples if you remain faithful to my teachings." As a class, we choose books to study or we do video driven topics such as Sandra Richter’s lessons on the book of Ruth. We enjoy having group discussion plus time for sharing and prayer. 

Jonathan Class

Time and Location: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Room 125 Old Chapel (SS/CLC Hallway)

This class has people of all ages ranging from college students to retirement. We are currently studying Proverbs and typically study chapters of the bible (one at a time) as opposed to video studies. We like to talk about Jesus and have fun in the process. Our class is named after Jonathan who was the closer friend of David. Their friendship is one of the most amazing friendships ever recorded. Our class works hard to create those types of friendships. 

Lamplighters Class

Time and Location: 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Room 142 (SS/CLC Hallway)

This class is mainly older adults who attend Sunday School singularly rather than as couples. Classes are typically video Bible Studies presented by renowned authors like Adam Hamilton, Rick Warren, Andy Stanley, Max Lucado, etc. with follow-up discussions that challenge us to dig a little deeper into the Biblical teachings of the presenters to grow our faith and solidify what we truly believe. The class atmosphere is relaxed and open. Each class consists of sharing prayer concerns, a time of prayer for the concerns of the class, a video lesson, and a discussion. Projects include holiday gift bags for residents of assisted living facilities.

New Beginnings

Time and Location: 10:00 -11:00 a.m. 

Room 117-Gathering Room, (adjacent to the kitchen)

This class uses an open-discussion format and the studies and lessons change periodically and use different authors and resources as a starting point for conversation. The class is open to all ages but is primarily made up of people ranging in age from 50’s – 80’s. A typical class begins with socializing then transitions into prayer requests followed by the lesson. The class supports people and projects both within the church locally and worldwide. Average attendance ranges from 20-30 people.

Pathfinders Class

Time and Location: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Room 131 (SS/CLC Hallway)

We are a group of adults, primarily couples in our forties and fifties. Our class focuses on group sharing and support of one another, along with on-going, in-depth study of biblical books. We have a very relaxed class environment and homework is never assigned.

Pruitt Class

Time and Location: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Large Meeting Room (Sanctuary Hallway)

The Pruitt class is an adult class comprised mostly of seniors, although everyone is welcome. We rotate teachers every month to help have different ideas. Teaching and studying the word of God is our first priority. As a class we support the church’s mission projects, and we also enjoy having fun and fellowship. Come join us! 

Salt and Light

Time and Location: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Room 140 (SS/CLC Hallway)

Our class consists of young adults, singles and married with kids, who want to grow in our discipleship to Jesus. Leadership and teaching are shared, and our class time is largely discussion based. We focus on sharing how God is working in our lives, how we need to grow personally and studying meaningful books and scripture. 

Sonshine Class

Time and Location: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Room 139 (SS/CLC Hallway)

The Sonshine class consists of slightly more mature adults (70’s). They currently study David C. Cook curriculum for 9 months out of the year and in the summer opt for short-term book or video studies. We also try to have fellowship outside the class usually at someone’s home. We enjoy our time together, try to support each other and try to grow as Christians. We financially support Kids’ Hope Program.
